The Civic Type R is the fastest FWD hot hatch in the world but 0-60 runs are a weak spot because it's hard to manage traction while launching. Can you Daily a Manual Supra ?

Some people will want to drive the Toyota Supra daily and in this video I discuss doing that with the manual version. I have driven every spec of the Supra so I have a decent perspective of which one would be best for daily life.

Acura Integra or Civic Si? What to Buy!

Acura Integra or Civic Si? What to Buy!
probably just as good as some of these 300k sport cars
Well I love my 370z roadster
I have the Perfromance Trim in Blue, I get so many looks and stops by people both young and old who are just impressed with car. I truly enjoy being a true sports car Unicorn”. Super/Hyper cars don’t count as they are “Rich Boy” toys…but this, this something special❤…I love my Z!!! It had been 40yrs in the making but I finally got mine✊🏿😂🥲❤️
At least Subaru got away from those gaudy gold brakes. That was the reason i went with an Evo back in 2008.
I never had an issue with the old brake color but yea you can't go wrong with an evo
insane? that is the base price in Europe... Sht taxes.
I owned 2 FK8s and regarding having a loud exhaust I preferred using the stock setup even with FBO because it was like being in stealth mode. I’m sure that you’ve all heard the proverbial Mustang from miles away…and all of the potential unwanted law enforcement attention…that it brings. Sometimes driving an overly loud car(especially if it’s your daily) is only fun for about ten minutes…then that noise is just constant…no thanks.
Pricing most ppl out of the brand is why I don't have one. They are so expensive!
Very true! The second hand market is also very strong though
$50k is too much for that. Quit encouraging price gouging. Also, FWD drive cars are total ass. Don't kid yourself. It doesn't matter how well "tuned" they are.
The fact you compared it to the M2 and Supra says a lot about the Nismo. If Nissan never comes out with a 6mt Nismo, i wouldn’t mind the auto if it’s really good and shifts fast. I would exclusively drive that car in sport+ every day if that’s the case. For my next car i will be cross shopping the M2, Supra and Nismo. As a current vq owner, it gives me good hopes on the Z Nismo. I like the way the regular Z drove and felt and I think the interior and exterior styling is so cool compared to other cars
I am waiting for 2025 hopefully they will prove seats , place full leather. Ventilation seat , 3rd seat in back, allow trunk to open from inside
I owned a 2006 NISMO Z. Loved that car. But $65K? You could get a new C8 Corvette for 69 or a '23 or '22 C8 for less.
Might sounds bizarre but I like the Nismo more 🤷🏻♂️
Base c8’s are pretty ugly imo. There’s only a select few that look good but they’re more in the 80k price range. The Z06 is the better looker imo. I would definitely get a Nismo Z over a base c8
Yea I agree, nismo is a lot more engaging
Love my 370 eats my neighbors corvette for dinner of course his is a c5
Your point regarding the amount of looks and admiration for this Nismo is very true.
1:13 what on earth does this have ANYTHING to do with a previous generation civic type r? lets also compare it to an attack helicopter or a memory foam mattress.... what an informed review 👎
Uh, nothing. Compare a last gen Civic Si to a Civic Type R. they added all kinds of crazy body molding and a giant wing to make it stand out. The 'regular' Z doesn't look that much different than the NISMO. THAT'S THE POINT. Pretty simple really.
The type r had pretty bold polarizing styling choices and is very “boy racer”. He’s comparing the top trim of both of them just in styling alone, he isn’t comparing both cars driving dynamics or anything else. The Nismo Z is a lot more of a subtle change. The same can’t be said for the type r vs the regular civic
That thing is sweet!
No manual option for the Nismo is a MASSIVE L.
Okay I'll let them know lol
Facts
So sick of these responses. Go buy the sport or performance trim in manual. Buy the OEM Nismo parts. Tune it. Done.
@@EpiCz_Izzy that’s cool. Keep on scrolling fam. 🤙
People have said this about Nissan’s Nismo cars since the GTR’s (R35) debut in the 2000’s. Sucks? Yes. But is this comment redundant? Absolutely. These cars are track cars, they’re built to beat lap times. Maybe they’ll make one down the line, which I doubt, but Nissan are pretty good at making something efficient if it means taking some fun away. It is what it is, you can still enjoy a car for its engineering.
Ben good video but it is getting harder to keep up with all the different RUclips channels. RBGfive then forgot second now this how many channels? So I can subscribe to all 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Haha rgbgfive is now Gjeebs and this is my second auto channel that’s it. I appreciate you watching!
That’s why you throw a Greddy exhaust on it 😜
The integra wasn’t always a coupe. Came in a sedan.
Type r or f87 m2??
F87 for sure. Not even close for me
Type R if you care about money/reliability
I guess the closest thing in Toyota lineup is the 86, not as fast but fun too and cheaper
Bought my '24 Premium (basically a fully-loaded Core) two months ago - absolutely love it
Nice! I am considering a circuit edition toward the end of this year so I can make videos of it on this channel.
I just got one of these for 49k , so good
That's sweet! Congrats
Brand new ???
I wish I could have got a Morizo when they first released. I remember calling multiple dealers, and they didn’t even know about the allocation. I had to snatch a Core model off of the show floor during an oil change on my Corolla Hatchback. What a coincidence😂
Apple CarPlay and other creature comforts do NOT justify $50k for a CIVIC. Speak for yourself it’s supposed to be an econo sports car and it isn’t even close to that it’s a sports car with a luxery price tag. Drivers don’t care about comfort as they do performance
😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@jimmyvu6919 laugh all you want but you can go ahead and pay $50k+ for a CIVIC when you could spend a little more and get a way better car for example the M3, S4, CT4 for that price tag. If you’re buying a Type R you aren’t buying it because it has CarPlay and other little crap, likely the buyer would be using it for motorsports as it’s what it was designed for. A $50k budget could build a pretty sweet sports car on an older chassis and also be WAY more capable of a car as most the stuff on it would likely be new or quality and it being more dialed than a factory car designed for the masses. $50k for a FWD civic to me is insane, $50k for a built to the hilt evo, STI, golf R all IMO way better deals seeing as either car would destroy a CTR on track or street. Also look at the civic historically and tell me they weren’t advertised, built and sold as economy cars even the higher trim sports models weren’t sold to compete with luxury cars like the M3 or Audi S or RS models because they were never that, Honda didn’t even advertise them to compete with Subaru or Mitsubishi during those peak years so why is it that a $50k price tag is justifiable? It isn’t and we shouldn’t continue to pat car companies on the back for giving us a sports car but at a price that the intended buyer can’t even afford. You don’t see a lot of 55+ year olds lining up to buy these things.
Nothing in it's price tag match it on the track. You have to spend $20k+ to match the track performance
not really, a camaro ss 1le costs the same and will wipe the floor with the civic lol @@LuisRojas-tx3lr
This car is slowwww
What do you think about the Civic Si vs Toyota 86?
The Si is just a lot more useful on a daily basis and arguably more fun/ comfortable to drive. The 86 is a lot more driver focused. Just depends on how you will be using it. This video may help: ruclips.net/video/d8BcSQfJ_80/видео.html
@@TheJDMFanatic Thanks! The 86 looks cooler, but sadly I don't live near any tracks and having 4 doors is better for a daily driver so I'm going to go with the Civic Si.
Yea I think you will love it! I would look at Hyundai Elantra N as well. It's a lot quicker than the Civic@@Mycatz
There's no point in buying this. Dealer mark ups are ridiculous. Get an M2. Much better car for the same price or less.
But it can be bought for MSRP in certain areas. New England has several dealerships where you can purchase them for MSRP.
Only reason I disagree is a m2 will drop in value 10x worst then the type r but m2 is a lot nicer but will have alot more issues
not a tesla!
Type R will be a collectible while Type S will be just another car 20 years from now
That maybe true but type s is better car
@@protectork9831 it is $10 grand better
4:44 "everyone is going to be looking at you".... Yes please go on about that topic 🤔
Over heats on track
Great honest review. Dealership markups on the CTR makes the competition a serious consideration.
Got my 2024 premium all black with roof rack. Its intense 😊
hey, I'm over here from the EV channel. :)
Thanks for the support Chris!
The Red carpet long term will not age well compared to the black carpet. I know they are holding the og look but still, they should've made 2 option
Just get some rubber mats and you’re chillin
Lmfao just get some Matts
Just bought mines last week 2024 premium edition loving it!
Congrats! That's awesome
Definitely the kind of car that aims to max out those smiles per mile! Wonder if they'll address the latency on the dash with some sw updates in a year or so!
Considering getting one of these before the end of 2024 and I will show it on this channel. Thoughts on this? Integra Type S would be fun too
Better hurry up then since Morizo's are no longer being made. Currently there are probably 4 Morizos in the US being sold.
I see that one went for $50K on cars and Bids ( most recent)
youd probly be happier with the integra type s for quality but the circuit or morizo is a bit more special since it's limited and unique, have to see if theyll continue type s production for resale value
Can’t wait for the Canyon.
I'll say it again. This is the Mazda Speed3 they should have made. Speed3 2.0 😗
Yea I agree but I am happy Toyota made this. it's also way more fun to shift over the manual supra.
Great review. Fun car to own
Thank you and I agree. This having the exhaust it does makes it better than the Type R for street driving.
The whole design is too simplistic, and boring.
I really found a liking to this car via Gran Turismo 7. I was bit disappointed after finding out how much they're asking for it in reality. The JDM maker have basically priced themselves out of the market. Asking $50k for a Honda would be comical if it weren't so sad. That's Stang GT, S5, S4, M240, Supra, Golf R, Camaro SS, etc. etc. money, and all are far out of the FL5s league performance wise. Sheesh, a base 2019 C7 Vette started only around $56k.
Golf R far out of the FL5's league? I just got my FL5 for MSRP. 46k. Can't beat that in this market elsewhere for what you're getting IMO.
@@neumei626 The Golf R is like a 12.5 second car off the showroom floor. It's AWD with a DSG so of course it's out of the FL5s league same as the STi, M240xi, AMG 35, TTS, GR Carolla, etc. I love the FL5, but literally cars all over, euro, US, and JDM that are better offerings.
if i really cared about going fast in straight lines only for that much money i would find the cheapest corvette rn and slap a turbo on it. but there's more to life than flooring it on the straights @@whiskeyactual.
@@ShaiyanHossain Not sure what you're on about, but every car I mentioned is competent in corners and would out right out perform any FWD vehicle on the road course.
proof? also i still dont really care about numbers. if going fast on a road course was my goal i would have had a corvette. but its not @@whiskeyactual.
THE DESIGNE OF CIVIC IS TERRIBLE IN MY OPINION ACURA IS A LOT BETTER
Price too damn high
Due to emissions mazda couldn’t put a turbo as originally planned like they did with its predecessors. Blame climate control and all those Libtards that wanna take away your freedom and choke tf out of your wallet and engines!
Quite the car, the Morizo. I owned one for a brief period in Australia together with a GR Yaris. A few uncommon facts about the Morizo v the 'standard' GR Corolla to share: It's 120LBS lighter than the Core edition, has 1.1 more PSI Turbo Boost, and 22 pound ft of torque, forged BBS wheels with engraved and painted GR Logo on each wheel, Michelin Cup 2 tires,. First and Second gear ratios have been reword to be closer together (something I really notice v the Yaris), larger front brake ducts, retund KYB suspension (unique to this car only) uprated spring rates, 349 more spot welds than the standard GR, additional seam sealer a special Asian EA68E transmission, together with deleted rear window wiper, rear switches and seats and a special bracing system designed to proved enough room for four track tyres and wheels, as well as an Alcantara wheel, shifter knob and ebrake handle. Amazing machine and most probably a collectors item. Only 25 of them have come to Australia while you guys get 200.
Times have changed, the car prices have changed the economy is in the SHlTTER and my pay rate is still the same this is the future. But a $50k civic lmmfao, please GTFO.
